Concepción Gimeno de Flaquer

Concepción Gimeno de Flaquer (1850-1919) was an important writer of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Like her contemporary Emilia Pardo Bazán, she contributed articles on women's issues and feminism to various journalistic publications. She is well-known as a defender of what she called el feminismo moderado, and her only work of kiosk literature, Una Eva moderna (1909), can be read as a clash between the progressive feminism of the protagonist and the moderate feminism of the author.
