Introducing Loyola Notre Dame Library’s new integrated library management system and search tool, OneSearch

The Loyola Notre Dame Library along with the 16 other libraries across the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) implemented on May 23, 2024, a new integrated library system (ILS) which includes a new search tool, OneSearch. Throughout the spring, LNDL’s migration task force worked collaboratively with USMAI colleagues and campus IT to replace the former system, which had been in place for over 20 years.

An integrated library system manages the basic functions of a library, such as checking library materials in and out, keeping track of orders and subscriptions, and providing the infrastructure that allows library users to search and access library materials. The migration to the new system modernizes Loyola Notre Dame Library’s current functionality, improves usability, and facilitates improved cooperation with other campus systems and academic institutions across the state.

Users can access OneSearch on the Library’s homepage and enjoy streamlined search functions, access to local resources, and scholarly research support. Additional features allow the Loyola and Notre Dame communities to easily manage Library loans, requests, and citations.

Updates on any temporary service interruptions will be provided. If you have any questions, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page or contact circulation@loyola.edu.
