Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Loyola
Notre Dame Library strengthen
the library through vital support of its collections and special events. The Friends are:
|
- Loyola University Maryland and
Notre Dame of Maryland University alumnae/i
- Faculty, students, and staff
- Members of the local community who recognize the importance of a robust, dynamic library to its constituents' academic and professional success
|
Strong community support is crucial to the library's ability to evolve, thrive, and meet the wide-ranging needs of
the people it serves - and the Friends of the Library program is an important mechanism for becoming part of that community
and enjoying everything the library has to offer while providing much-needed support.

- Launch of the St. John's Bible Permanent Exhibit (Spring 2012)
In Spring 2012 LNDL launched its permanent Saint John's Bible exhibit.
The Saint John's Bible is a beautifully handwritten, hand-illuminated work crafted by renowned calligrapher Donald Jackson.
Our copy of the St. John's Bible is dedicated in memory of Loyola trustee and parent Nicholas B. Mangione, and the exhibit
space in memory of Notre Dame alumna Julie Kline Rybczynski, '99. We are deeply grateful to the Mangione and
Rybczynski families for their extraordinary generosity. The Bible, located on the library's main level, will be an invaluable
resource for students and scholars and will provide an important outreach opportunity for the library as we offer this
as a resource for local area schools.
