Most gracious Lord, Who led o'er land and wave
Through wood and wilderness our fathers brave
To this new land by faith's unfailing flame,
In thankfulness, we glorify Thy Name.
For all our fathers in the days of old,
Steadfast and worthy, faithful, true and bold,
Servants and soldiers in Thy realm divine,
Eternal praise and thanks, O Lord, be Thine.
Sustain us now with Thy celestial aid;
Fill us with zeal and courage unafraid;
Give us abundant grace to do Thy will,
Perfect Thy Kingdom, and Thy law fulfill.
Our Fathers' God, to Thee all praise we give,
In Whom the souls of man and nations live;
With grateful hearts we bow before Thy face;
Thy strength our glory, and our hope Thy grace.

Herr, der Du führtest über Land und Meer,
Durch Urwald und Gefahr die Väter her,
Ins neue Land durch Glaubens Kraft sie kamen;
In Dankbarkeit wir preisen Deinen Namen.
Fur unsre Väter in vergangnen Tagen,
Aufrecht und fest, ohn' Zittern und ohn' Zagen,
Diener und Streiter für Dein göttlich Wort, —
Sei ewig Dank und Lob Dir allerort!
Steh uns nun bei, gib uns Dein göttlich Schutz,
Füll uns mit Eifer, Zuversicht und Trutz.
Gib uns in vollem Mass von Deiner Gnad',
Dass Dein Gebot wir tun, Dein Reich nicht leide Schad'.
Gott unsrer Ahnen, hör uns im Gebet,
In dessen Hand der Menschen Schicksal steht,
